(Ord. 536, 4-25-94) <br /> 401.02: MEMBERSHIP; TERMS; OATH; COMPENSATION: <br /> Subd. 1. Membership; Terms: <br /> a. Appointed Members: The Planning and Zoning Commission shall consist of not less <br /> than seven (7) nor more than nine (9) members from the resident population of Mounds <br /> View, other than persons elected to a public body, to be appointed by the Mayor with <br /> approval of the City Council, from applications submitted. The appointees shall have <br /> three (3) year staggered terms; at least two (2) of these terms, but not more than three (3) <br /> terms, shall expire each year on December 31. Based upon the recommendation of the <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission, the Mayor, with approval of the City Council, shall <br /> appoint a chairperson. <br /> b. Designated Members: In addition to the appointed membership, two (2) nonvoting <br /> members shall be designated by the City Council to serve as liaison to the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission. The term of the appointments shall ordinarily be for one year; <br /> • except, that they will terminate with the office from which the nonvoting appointment is <br /> derived. <br /> City of Mounds View <br />
