Mounds View Planning Commission January 6, 1999 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> • <br /> 8. <br /> Staff Reports <br /> Jopke discussed recent City Council actions of interest to the Planning Commission such as <br /> approval of the Tammie Schmitt CUP, discussion of the Tobias variance appeal and the <br /> appointment of Roger Stigney as Council liaison with Gary Quick as the alternate. Jopke <br /> reported that the mayor would like to increase the membership of the Planning Commission from <br /> seven to nine members and has directed staff to prepare an ordinance to do this. <br /> A related discussion was held regarding the current vacancy on the Commission as to when the <br /> seat would be filled. Jopke reported that an ad appeared in the last issue of the newsletter which <br /> set a February 1, 1999 deadline for application submission. <br /> Jopke also stated that the mayor has requested an annual report from the Planning Commission <br /> detailing its work during the last year.
