<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6590 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVING A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br />(PUD) AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT FOR SYSCO <br />MINNESOTA; PLANNING CASE PA2005-002 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, SYSCO Minnesota, represented by president Philip Seipp, has <br />submitted a request for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) amendment relating to a <br />proposed three-acre site expansion; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, SYSCO proposes a three-acre transfer of land from the City of Mounds <br />View (the “City”) to SYSCO to facilitate a five-year business expansion plan; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1989, SYSCO deeded to the City the 46-acre lot legally described as <br />follows: <br />SYSCO OUTLOT A <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, per Minnesota Statutes 462.356, the Mounds View Planning <br />Commission reviewed the proposed transfer of land to SYSCO and finds that the transfer <br />would be consistent with the goals of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on and <br />reviewed the proposed Planned Unit Development amendment and Development <br />Agreement amendment on August 22, 2005. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby make the following findings of fact relating to the Planned Unit Development (PUD) <br />amendment and Development Agreement amendment for SYSCO Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. SYSCO Minnesota is situated north of Trunk Highway 10 and south of County <br />Road J, west of Interstate 35W. <br /> <br />2. The SYSCO site, as identified in Exhibit A, is currently designated Heavy <br />Industrial (HI) in the Comprehensive Plan and is zoned Planned Unit <br />development (PUD). <br /> <br />3. The Planned Unit Development approved for the SYSCO site allows for the <br />existing usage, the transfer would necessitate an amendment to expand the site <br />and to address additional maintenance, access and mitigation issues. <br /> <br />4. The transfer of land would also necessitate an amendment to the original Sysco <br />Development Agreement, Mounds View Development Agreement No. 89-87.
