Reports of Mayor and Council 19 <br /> 20 <br />Councilmember Flaherty stated residents really pitched in to help each other out after the 21 <br />Wednesday night storm. He stated it did his heart good to see the community come together and 22 <br />he applauds residents for helping each other. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Councilmember Stigney stated during the last meeting the Mayor stated it was a fact that 25 <br />residents were giving golf course staff a hard time and followed a beverage cart employee home. 26 <br />At the meeting, he had questioned if Mayor Marty had personal knowledge and cautioned that 27 <br />Mayor Marty should not be discussing it. Councilmember Stigney stated there was an 28 <br />investigation and determined it was not factual, unsubstantiated, and unfounded. He cautioned 29 <br />the Mayor about making such comments that are not factual. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Marty stated he talked to the golf course employees too and there was some 32 <br />miscommunication. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Councilmember Stigney stated there was no substantiation and in the future he would 35 <br />recommend the Mayor contact the Police Chief for documentation. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Marty commended all the citizens for their response after the storm and stated Staff went 38 <br />above and beyond, as did neighbors and friends. He thanked everyone for pitching in and noted 39 <br />that residents are still helping. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Mayor Marty stated that hauling of branches up to eight feet will start tomorrow. He noted the 42 <br />information is on the web site and if residents don’t want to wait, they can haul it to the storm 43 <br />debris dump site in New Brighton. 44 <br /> 45
