<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6631 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MEDTRONIC CRM PRELIMINARY PLAT <br />PLANNING CASE MA2005-002 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Medtronic, Inc., has submitted an application for a Major Subdivision to re- <br />plat the 85.27 acres land associated with the Medtronic CRM project area and is requesting <br />approval of the Medtronic CRM Preliminary Plat date-stamped October 5, 2005 prepared by <br />E. G. Rud and Sons, Inc.; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the land to be subdivided by Medtronic represents the Mounds View <br />Bridges Golf Course located north of Highway 10 and west of Interstate 35W at 8290 Coral <br />Sea Street, and adjoining parcels in the city of Blaine, all legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Refer to Exhibit A <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the conditions and requirements regarding the proposed sale of real <br />property from the City and the EDA to Medtronic are fully addressed in the Purchase <br />Agreement and Contract for Private Development as executed by the parties on August 31, <br />2005; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on October 10, 2005 <br />regarding the Medtronic CRM preliminary plat; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed Title 1200 of the Mounds View Municipal <br />Code pertaining to subdivisions of land; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has received a recommendation of approval <br />from the Mounds View Planning Commission as evidenced by Resolution 815-05. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council makes the <br />following findings of fact related to the Medtronic CRM preliminary plat: <br /> <br />1. The preliminary plat date-stamped October 5, 2005 is consistent and complies <br />with the City’s subdivision regulations as articulated in Title 1200. <br />2. The submitted preliminary plat is consistent with the Mounds View Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />3. Easements sufficient to protect all water courses, ponds, wetlands and drainage <br />areas and public utilities are provided and dedicated on the preliminary plat. <br />4. Excess right of way and excess easements will be vacated according to the <br />regulations and requirements of the City of Mounds View and state of Minnesota. <br />5. Park dedication fees in the amount of $865,000 have been negotiated between the <br />City and Medtronic and will be due at the time of Phase 1 building permit approval. <br />
