<br />Item No: 08G <br />Meeting Date: November 14, 2005 <br /> Type of Business: CA <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 6666 Temporarily using the City of New Brighton for <br />Cable Tech support <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br />Mr. Ken Gammell resigned as City Cable Coordinator on August 15, 2005. The hiring <br />process for a permanent part-time employee is still on going. <br /> <br />The City of New Brighton is currently supporting the City of Mounds View for Cable Tech <br />support and it is the intention of Staff to continue using their services until a Mounds View <br />Cable Technician is hired. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />Attached is Resolution 6666 approving an agreement with the City of New Brighton to <br />provide interim cable coordination services for the City until a person is hired for the <br />position as a regular part-time employee. <br /> <br />The City will pay the amount that the City of New Brighton pays for their cable technician. <br />The City of Mounds View is currently using the services of David S. Dean to schedule <br />and coordinate cable production and programming during this period. He is currently <br />being paid $13.31/hour with the City of New Brighton. The anticipated number of hours <br />for the contract is 10-15 hours per week, but in no event shall hours worked be in excess <br />of 20 hours per week without prior written authorization by the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Council approve Resolution 6666 approving an <br />agreement with the City of New Brighton to provide interim cable coordination <br />services as indicated. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
