Item No. 08H <br />Type of Business: CA <br />Meeting Date: November 14, 2005 <br />City Administrator Review: ______ City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Assistant to the City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 6677 Rescinding Resolution 6600 and 6612 <br />to change Restaurant, Tobacco and On-Sale Intoxicating <br />Liquor License ownership back to Jake’s Sports Café, <br />Inc., located at 2400 Highway 10 <br /> <br /> <br />On September 26, 2005, City Council Meeting, the City Council passed Resolutions <br />6600 and 6612 to transfer ownership of an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License, <br />Restaurant, and Tobacco License from Jake’s Sports Café to City Tavern. Staff was <br />notified by the owners of Jake’s Sports Café that the sale was not able to be finalized, <br />and Jake’s Sports Café will continue to operate with the same name and ownership as <br />in the past. (see letter dated November 4, 2005). City Tavern will not be taking <br />ownership. <br /> <br />Attached is Resolution 6677 rescinding all business licenses of City Tavern. Staff <br />contacted the Minnesota Gambling and Alcohol Enforcement. It was the <br />recommendation of the Board that a resolution be passed by the City Council revoking <br />all business licenses of City Tavern and to state that the ownership will continue to be <br />Jake’s Sports Café. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve Resolution 6677 Rescinding Resolution <br />6600 and 6612 to change Restaurant, Tobacco and On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License <br />ownership back to Jake’s Sports Café, Inc., located at 2400 Highway 10. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Desaree Crane <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
