Mounds View City Council November 14, 2005
Regular Meeting Page 20

Councilmember Flaherty asked if the budget will be an agenda item for the next meeting. City 1
Administrator Ulrich answered in the affirmative. Councilmember Flaherty stated he would like 2
to discuss how to use the golf course auction funds. 3
4
Mayor Marty noted the indication in Finance Director Beer’s memorandum to decrease Police 5
vehicles 4200-7040 in the amount of $4,000 to reflect the change in vehicle requested. 6
7
City Administrator Ulrich stated at the Arden Hills meeting, the Mayors and Administrators 8
talked about communications. Arden Hills brought up that they have a newsletter published by a 9
citizen’s editorial board and a paid editor who makes a minimal amount. This newsletter is put 10
out ten times a year and may be an option for Mounds View to consider. 11
12
City Administrator Ulrich stated they also talked bout TCAAP. Arden Hills is getting an 13
appraisal on the property and hopes to have things wrapped up with government services agency 14
to transfer property within a year. However, that will depend on Arden Hills reaching an 15
agreement with the government on the price of the property. 16
17
City Administrator Ulrich stated a summary of the auction at the golf course was provided to the 18
Council. The auction netted over $123,000 from the sale of golf course assets. He stated there 19
were a few surprises, some things sold higher than anticipated, but they did not receive the 20
minimum bid needed for the greens so they are unsold. 21
22
Community Development Director Ericson reminded the Council of the County Road J Project 23
open house to be held at the Blaine City Hall on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 from 4:30 p.m. 24
to 7:00 p.m. 25
26
C.
