He noted the process being 2 <br />used will be the template for future processes. 3 <br /> 4 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Flaherty. To Approve Setting a Public Hearing for December 12, 5 <br />2005 at 7:10 p.m. to Consider a Resolution Amending the City’s Wetland Zoning District. 6 <br /> 7 <br /> Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />F. Resolution 6681 a Resolution Closing City Hall on Friday December 23rd and 10 <br />Friday, December 30, 2005 11 <br /> 12 <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked about the downside to closing the City Hall on December 23rd 13 <br />and 30th related to services being provided to residents. He also asked if employees who do not 14 <br />typically get the day off will need to use accrued vacation. 15 <br /> 16 <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that is correct, they will need to use accrued vacation. He 17 <br />explained the downside is that there will be fewer hours available to the public on those days. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Marty stated if City Hall was open, only a skeleton staff would be working so residents 20 <br />may come in but be unable to get something acted on. 21 <br /> 22 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Stigney. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6681, 23 <br />Closing City Hall on Friday, December 23 and Friday, December 30, 2005. 24 <br /> 25 <br /> Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 26 <br /> 27 <br />G. Set a public hearing for Monday, December 12, 2005 at 7:20 pm to consider 28 <br />abating nuisance conditions and non-compliant code items at 2390 County 29 <br />Road 10, property known and operated as the “Premium Stop” fuel station 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Marty requested a staff update. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained this property, Premium Stop, is adjacent to 34 <br />the former Donut Connection building. Staff has been working with the business owner to 35 <br />correct some deficiencies and issues with the building. The most glaring example of Code 36 <br />violation is the canopy that is set off to the side. Staff was told it would be reinstalled the 37 <br />following week and that was three weeks ago. Director Ericson advised that the windows to the 38 <br />carwash are still blown out with glass on the inside. The service doors are closed but if you 39 <br />actually get inside the car wash area, you would engage an infrared trigger and doors would lift 40 <br />up. Staff feels these issues create a safety hazard and that it will not be corrected. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Director Ericson reported that one client of the business overheard the business owner saying he 43 <br />has no intention of fixing it because the property is for sale.
