ORDINANCE NO. 729 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE SETTING SANITARY SEWER RATES FOR SERVICE IN 2004 <br /> <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />SECTION I. <br />The Mounds View City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to <br />insure sufficient funding to cover operations in the Sanitary Sewer Utility Fund. <br /> <br />SECTION II. <br />The Finance Department shall quarterly prepare a bill based upon rates as established <br />below for each property class and in accordance with existing Mounds View policies. <br /> <br />The residential rates established are to provide sanitary sewer charges based upon a <br />fixed service charge plus a usage charge based upon the amount of water metered <br />during the winter quarter or actual usage from a later quarter if it is less than the winter <br />quarter. In no case shall a variable rate be billed for less than five units. <br /> <br />SANITARY SEWER RATES effective for service on and after April 1, 2004 shall be set <br />at: <br /> <br />Residential rates <br /> Service Charge per residential equivalent connection $21.58 per quarter <br /> Usage charge based on metered water usage $1.72 per 1,000 gallons <br />Commercial, Industrial, Public building, & Church rates <br /> Service Charge per residential equivalent connection $47.00 per quarter <br /> <br /> <br /> SECTION III. <br />This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its publication, and shall be <br />effective for billing for service provided from April 1, 2004 onward. <br /> <br />Read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View on the 9th day of February, 2004. <br /> <br />Read and passed by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 23th day of <br />February, 2004. <br /> <br />
