To Approve the City Council Minutes for February 23, 1 <br />2004 as Amended. 2 <br /> 3 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 4 <br /> 5 <br />11. REPORTS 6 <br /> 7 <br /> A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Marty asked Staff to look into whether the appropriate amount of charitable 10 <br />gambling funds were returned to the City from the organization mentioned at the last meeting. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council Member Marty asked Staff to keep on top of the stoplight at Silver Lake Road and 13 <br />County Road H. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Marty. To Direct Staff to Investigate the Possibility of Installing a 16 <br />Semaphore at Silver Lake Road and County Road H and to Direct Staff to ask the County for a 17 <br />Signal Justification Report. 18 <br /> 19 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Marty asked for an update on a possible pathway along Silver Lake Road up to 22 <br />County Road H. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that a late summer project gives time for adding a sidewalk 25 <br />and the ideal situation would be to do the pathway and overlay after all the truck hauling is done. 26 <br />He then said that at the next meeting Staff would be presenting the feasibility study for that 27 <br />project. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Gunn commented that with all of her travels with drum line she sees towns 30 <br />with signs that state vehicle noise laws enforced. She then asked if the City could look into those 31 <br />types of signs at the edge of the City. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that it is the policy of the City that the Police Chief 34 <br />determines where those signs are located. He then said that he would work with the Police Chief 35 <br />on the matter. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Linke expressed congratulations and a thank you for a job well done to Officer Meyer and 38 <br />Officer Leich for receiving an award for life saving efforts on an employee at the Mermaid. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Mayor Linke indicated that the City has received notification of a level III sex offender moving 41 <br />to the community and there will be a community notification meeting on March 15, 2004 at 6:30 42 <br />p.m. at the Community Center. 43 <br /> 44
