RESOLUTION NO. 6221 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION THE PURCHASE OF A STALKER DSR RADAR UNIT UTILIZING <br />SAFE AND SOBER GRANT AND FORFEITURE FUNDS <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department is updating its squad radar equipment and is <br />in need of purchasing one additional Stalker DSR squad radar unit, with a state bid <br />price of $2640, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View was awarded a grant from the Minnesota <br />Department of Public Safety Safe and Sober program which allows the city to use up to <br />$1250.00 of the grant funding towards the purchase of traffic enforcement equipment <br />with matching city funds, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funding the balance of the cost of the radar unit is available and has <br />been budgeted in the police forfeiture fund. <br /> <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby authorize the purchase of one Stalker DSR radar unit by utilizing $1250.00 <br />from the Safe and Sober grant, and $1400.00 from the police forfeiture fund. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 12th day of April 2004. <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br />(ATTEST) <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich <br />City Clerk/Administrator <br />(SEAL)
