Mounds View City Council April 12, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 18 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Marty asked if Staff has contacted Rice Creek about the wetlands to see if their 2 <br />original offer is still on the table. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Golf Course Manager Berg indicated she would look in some of the files for information at the 5 <br />golf course to find the specifics and that is a priority on her list of things to look at. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Marty commented that at the very least, the City could get some mitigation 8 <br />points if they can control more water. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Golf Course Manager Berg indicated that the new golf course is opening its putting course May 11 <br />1, 2004 and the driving range if it is ready. She then said that the 9 hole course is opening June 12 <br />15, 2004 and they have not begun seeding on the second 9 holes but anticipate an October 13 <br />opening. She further commented that the fee for 9 holes for adults is $23.00 and kids pay their 14 <br />age. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Golf Course Manager Berg indicated that it is supposed to be the third longest golf course in the 17 <br />state. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Golf Course Manager Berg indicated that the cost for an adult will prevent some adults from 20 <br />playing but they may drop their kids off to play and there is a need for leagues for kids. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Stigney indicated he did not get a budget summary. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Golf Course Manager Berg indicated they were to have been scanned in and said she would 25 <br />provide copies. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if there is any indication when the City may get a response on the 28 <br />billboards. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Director Ericson indicated there is no indication. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether Mr. Manthis received any information at the seminar he 33 <br />attended as to ways to improve the course management. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Golf Course Manager Berg indicated she would ask for further information on what he got and 36 <br />report back 37 <br /> 38 <br /> C. City Attorney 39 <br /> 1. Park Dedication Fee Opinion 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Marty.
