Item No. 6G <br />Meeting Date: May 10, 2004 <br />Type of Business: Special Order <br />WK: Work Session; PH: Public Hearing; <br />CA: Consent Agenda; CB: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review _______ <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6238 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />PROCLAIMING MAY 18, 2004 AS “ARBOR DAY” <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for twenty-two <br />consecutive years as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its <br />efforts in urban forestry; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks and <br />residences, increase property values, and enhance the economic vitality of business <br />areas, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, neighbors and concerned citizens will be planting trees at Groveland <br />Park; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that May 18, 2004, be declared Arbor <br />Day in Mounds View and public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called upon to <br />assist in the planting of trees now for the use and enjoyment of present and future <br />generations. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 10th day of May, 2004 <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) ______________________________________ <br />Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(ATTEST): ______________________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator
