The location of the golf course leads one to believe the <br />golf course may be located in the City of Blaine. The name or label is a fundamental <br />element in the strategy to create distinction in the marketplace. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />The golf course has struggled with an identify dilemma primarily due to its proximity to <br />the City of Blaine. The 55449 zip code only adds to further the identity difficulty. Patrons <br />are often surprised to learn the golf course and practice facility is not located in Blaine, <br />but rather is located here in Mounds View. The trade marking or labeling of the golf <br />course has significant impact on market strategies. Branding as “The Bridges of <br />Mounds View” golf course and learning center we promote the identity that is a key to <br />our image. <br /> <br />The golfing public holds The Bridges in high regard and it continues to develop a <br />reputation of excellence. However, attracting new golfers to the golf course and learning <br />center could be uncomplicated by this reference. In the interest of increasing <br />recognition by distinctly identifying or trade marking the facility, we will help to diminish <br />this quandary. Thus, the official name of “The Bridges of Mounds View Golf Course <br />and Learning Center” conveys clarification as to who we are. <br /> <br />There will be minimal cost associated to make this modification. The name can be <br />phased in over time on any signage, etc. The golf course logo should be updated so <br />from this point forward the revision is included in promotional pieces. It is estimated that <br />the graphics change will be approximately $300.
