Mounds View City Council April 26, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 16 <br /> <br /> 3. Police Department Quarterly Report 1 <br /> 2 <br />Police Chief Sommer reviewed his quarterly report with Council. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Quick asked if Council could be introduced to the new officers at a Council 5 <br />meeting. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Chief Sommer indicated he would bring them in. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Quick asked whether the City was full staffed with officers. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Chief Sommer indicated that all positions are filled but there is one officer out on an injury. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Linke commented that the new MDT’s are a huge improvement over the old ones and the 14 <br />amount of information and the speed at which it can be accessed is impressive. 15 <br /> 16 <br />4. Ramsey County League of Local Governments Seminar in “Finance 17 <br />101” 18 <br /> 19 <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated there is a Ramsey County League of local government 20 <br />seminar given at the Mounds View Community Center on April 29, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. and 21 <br />encouraged anyone interested to attend. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Mayor Linke asked Staff to post the meeting in the event a quorum of Council attends. 24 <br /> 25 <br /> C. City Attorney 26 <br /> 27 <br />No report. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Director Ericson indicated the City was awarded a grant through the CDBG process for the 30 <br />second access at the Mounds View Mobile Home Park in the amount of $30,000. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether the owners or managers of the park were not in 33 <br />agreement. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated this matter would be before Council on May 3, 2004 to see 36 <br />how to divide up the grant and Staff will draft letters to the managers of the park. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Council Member Quick commented that his hostility is not directed at Staff, but Rice Creek 39 <br />Watershed District. He then asked Staff to obtain and provide to Council information on how 40 <br />neighboring communities take care of fire protection and how residents are charged for it. 41 <br /> 42 <br />12.
