RESOLUTION NO. 6242 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE REVISED JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY <br />OF SPRING LAKE PARK FOR THE LAKESIDE LIONS PARK PARKING LOT <br />BIDS ALTERNATE AND AUTHORIZATION OF EXECUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On March 22, 2004, the City Council approved Resolution <br />No. 6201 authorizing the execution of a Joint Powers Agreements (JPA) with the <br />City of Spring Lake Park for work proposed to be completed on Hillview Road <br />associated with the 2003 Street Improvement Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On May 24, 2004 Staff will present to the City Council the <br />awarding of the contract for the 2003 Street Improvement Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this project was bid with a bid alternate number two for the <br />reconstruction of the Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to allow awarding reconstruction of the Lakeside <br />Lions Park Parking Lot bid alternate number two, the original Joint Powers <br />Agreement approved on March 22, 2004 with the City of Spring Lake Park will <br />need to be revised to allow for the installation of the parking lot at the Lakeside <br />Lions Park should the City Council wish to include it in this project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City’s legal counsel has recently revised the Joint Powers <br />Agreement previously approved on March 22, 2004 to include the parking lot at <br />the Lakeside Lions Park. <br /> <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mounds View City Council <br />of the City of, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the revised joint powers agreement with the City of Spring <br />Lake Park for the reconstruction of the Lakeside Lions Park Parking <br />Lot, bid alternate number two, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to <br />execute said agreement. <br /> <br />3. That execution of said agreement is contingent upon the Spring <br />Lake Park City Council approving said agreement. <br /> <br />4. That execution of said agreement is contingent upon the Mounds <br />View City Council awarding bid alternate number two of the 2003 <br />Street Improvement Project.
