AGREEMENT FOR THE ADMINISTRATION AND DIVISION OF <br />COSTS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR HILLVIEW ROAD <br />(BETWEEN PLEASANT VIEW DRIVE AND SPRING LAKE ROAD) AND <br />LAKESIDE LIONS PARK IN THE CITIES OF MOUNDS VIEW AND SPRING <br />LAKE PARK <br /> <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ______ day of <br />______________, 2004, and between the City of Mounds View, Minnesota, a <br />municipal corporation, hereinafter called “Mounds View”, and the City of Spring <br />Lake Park, Minnesota, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called “Spring Lake <br />Park”. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mounds View and Spring Lake Park share a common <br />boundary street between Pleasant View Drive and Spring Lake Road; said <br />boundary street being known as Hillview Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, both Mounds View and Spring Lake Park desire grading, <br />bituminous paving, curb and gutter, storm drain, and other related improvements <br />of said Hillview Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mounds View and Spring Lake Park share a common <br />boundary within Lakeside Lions Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, both Mounds View and Spring Lake Park desire grading, <br />bituminous paving, curb and gutter, storm drain, and other related improvements <br />to the parking lot located at Lakeside Lions Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the word “Improvements” as stated and used in this <br />Agreement shall mean all Hillview Road street and utility improvements (as <br />constructed between Pleasant View Drive and Spring Lake Road in Mounds <br />View and Spring Lake Park) and all Lakeside Lions Park parking lot <br />improvements, including project development, preliminary and final engineering, <br />administration, construction, inspection, and all other cost and work items <br />described herein; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 471.59 provides that <br />municipalities may enter into a joint powers agreement providing for the division <br />of costs for such Improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the total costs for the Improvements shall be shared by <br />Mounds View and Spring Lake Park in accordance with the terms of this <br />Agreement. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED, by the city council of the city of <br />Mounds View and the city council of the city of Spring Lake Park that: <br /> <br />
