Temporary Outdoor Sales Report
May 10, 2004
Page 2

Recommendation:

Hold the public hearing and consider any testimony from citizens. There are three
options for action associated with this item:

Option 1. Approve the second reading and adoption of Ordinance 733. Adoption of the
ordinance will create consistency in the Code and help clarify the requirements for
temporary sales that last for more than ten (10) days and for temporary sales that last for
less than ten (10) days.

Option 2. Table action on the second reading and adoption of the ordinance if additional
information is needed to render a decision as to the approval or denial of the amendment.

Option 3. Deny the second reading and do not adopt the ordinance. Denial would allow
the inconsistency in the Code to remain.

The Planning Commission and Staff recommend Council approve the second reading and
adoption of Ordinance 733 because the amendment would be correct an inconsistency in
the Code and further clarify temporary outdoor sales.

Respectfully submitted,

Kristin Prososki
Planning Associate

Attachments:
1.
