<br />ORDINANCE NO. 736 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CHARTER <br />BY AMENDING SECTION 4.02 OF THE CHARTER RELATING TO <br />“FILING FOR OFFICE” <br /> <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View, pursuant to the <br />recommendation of the City of Mounds View Charter Commission, has hereby determined <br />that Section 4.02, Subdivision 1 of the Charter of the City of Mounds View relating to “Filing <br />for Office” be amended by the addition of the bold and double-underlined language and <br />by the deletion of the bold and stricken language as follows: <br /> <br />Section 4.02. Filing for Office. <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Filing for Office. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 205.13, as <br />amended, no No earlier than seventy days nor later than fifty-six days before <br />any municipal election, any resident of the City qualified under state law for <br />elective office may, by filing an affidavit and by paying a filing fee to the Clerk- <br />Administrator in an amount as set by ordinance, have their name placed on the <br />municipal election ballot. Amendments to Minnesota Statute 205.13 shall <br />take precedence over this subdivision. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
