The retreat was held at the Mounds View Community Center and facilitated by <br />Don Salverda, an outside consultant. <br /> <br />Over the two evenings of the retreat, the Council and Department Heads discussed the past, <br />present and future, and responded with a plan to address the challenges facing the City of <br />Mounds View. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The group developed a shared vision for success, by agreeing on a Goals Program for the City. <br />The proposed Goals Program reads as follows: <br /> <br />Goal #1: To continue to Provide Quality Services with Limited Resources <br /> <br />Goal #2: To Improve the City’s Infrastructure <br /> <br />Goal #3: To Develop a Long Term (Ten Year) Community Vision and Goals <br /> <br />Goal #4: To Enhance the City’s Revenue Streams <br /> <br />Goal #5: To Improve the City’s Housing Stock <br /> <br />Goal #6: To Implement the Redevelopment and Revitalization Plan for County <br />Highway 10 <br /> <br />Goal #7: To Initiate a Study of Possible Improvements in How the City Delivers its <br />Services <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />As part of the retreat follow-up the facilitator recommended that the Council formally adopt the <br />Mounds View Goals Program.
