Mounds View City Council July 12, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br />Mayor Linke stated the asphalt is basically falling apart. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Council Member Marty commented that the staff report was very well written. 3 <br /> 4 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Gunn. To waive the reading and approve Resolution No. 6304, 5 <br />Authorizing the Installation of Concrete Curb along the North Side of County Road H. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Ayes-4 Nays –0 Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Dan Hall, owner of the Mermaid, asked if he could address the Council. He stated he wished to 10 <br />receive a letter from City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich explaining to him the situation of putting 11 <br />off the re-writing of the contract, which was requested by the City of Mounds View, not by him. 12 <br />He stated he knows the City Council does not want the Mermaid there, and that the handwriting 13 <br />is on the wall. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Mr. Hall expressed his strong dissatisfaction with his dealings with the City of Mounds View, 16 <br />and he wants his money back. He stated his dissatisfaction with having a business located in 17 <br />Mounds View. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Linke asked City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich to pull up the contract and go to the part 20 <br />where it says the City has the right to RFP if they choose. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Mr. Hall began to shout, and Mayor Linke asked him to leave. 23 <br /> 24 <br />11. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 25 <br /> 26 <br />A. City Council Minutes June 28, 2004. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Council Member Marty made a correction to page 5, line 30, to add the words “more than” 29 <br />before $23,000 to $24,000. 30 <br /> 31 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Stigney. To approve the June 28, 2004 City Council Minutes as 32 <br />amended. 33 <br /> 34 <br /> Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 35 <br /> 36 <br />12. REPORTS 37 <br /> 38 <br /> A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council Member Gunn stated they were looking for participants to run in the Fun Run during the 41 <br />Festival in the Park on August 22nd. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Council Member Marty stated the Festival in the Park Golf Tournament is being held on August 44 <br />14th, and that registrations are available at the Bridges Golf Course. 45
