Mounds View City Council June 14, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 14 <br /> <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 1 <br /> 2 <br />L. 800 MHz Communications System 3 <br /> 4 <br />Police Chief Sommer stated the entire project is estimated at $35.65 million. He stated the 5 <br />Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has acted to implement the 800 MHz Communications 6 <br />System in Ramsey County, and that Anoka and Hennepin Counties have gone to that system, as 7 <br />well as other counties. He stated the Minnesota Highway Patrol is on the system. He stated there 8 <br />has been a communication problem in emergency situations, and this system will eliminate that. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Police Chief Sommer stated the project is moving forward, and the cost to the City of Mounds 11 <br />View has not yet been determined. He stating dispatching services are currently contracted 12 <br />through Ramsey County. He stated that staff recommends submitting a letter to Ramsey County 13 <br />stating that we would like the current level of service to continue. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Mayor Linke and Council Member Marty stated the letter looks good, but to change the date, and 16 <br />send it. 17 <br /> 18 <br />M. First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance No. 740 to Amend Chapter 19 <br />907.06 Entitled “Storm Water” in the Mounds View City Code. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated he would like to amend Subd. 5 to be $100. 22 <br /> 23 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Stigney. To waive the reading and approve the first reading of 24 <br />Ordinance No. 740, with Subd. 5 amended to $100. 25 <br /> 26 <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 27 <br /> 28 <br />11.
