Mounds View City Council August 9, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 14 <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Quick. To Postpone this item until the next City Council meeting. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if there was any detriment in postponing. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman stated there wasn’t a huge detriment, although 5 <br />they would like to plug the numbers in for the 2005 budget, but there was still time for that. He 6 <br />stated an agreement was being approved at this point. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Mayor Linke asked for a vote on the postponement. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Stigney stated he would like to qualify that the reason for the postponement is 11 <br />to let the City Administrator look at some of these items and bring them back. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Gunn asked if the postponement would be to a certain meeting date. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Marty stated it would be to the next meeting on the 23rd. 16 <br /> 17 <br /> Ayes-5 Nayes-0 Motion carried. 18 <br /> 19 <br />11. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 20 <br /> 21 <br />A. June 14, 2004 City Council Meeting 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Marty stated on page 3, line 6, he would like the phrase to read, “Floyd’s 24 <br />Barbershop, as in Andy Griffith.” 25 <br /> 26 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Gunn. To approve the June 14, 2004 City Council Minutes as 27 <br />amended. 28 <br /> 29 <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 30 <br /> 31 <br />B. City Council Minutes July 26, 2004 32 <br /> 33 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To approve the July 26, 2004 City Council Minutes. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 36 <br /> 37 <br />12. REPORTS 38 <br /> 39 <br /> A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Quick asked whether anything had been done by the Civil Service Commission, 42 <br />and City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that they did review the Deputy Chief vacancy, and 43 <br />they did act on it, and they are recommending going forward. 44 <br /> 45
