To waive the reading and approve the first reading of 2 <br />Ordinance 746, an Ordinance Implementing a Franchise Fee on Xcel Energy and Natural Gas 3 <br />Operations within the City of Mounds View for the Year 2005. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Council Member Stigney stated this is to continue with the 4 percent franchise fee on Xcel 6 <br />Energy for natural gas. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Gunn stated it had a sunset clause for next year. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 11 <br /> 12 <br />B. 7:20 p.m. Public Hearing, Introduction, and First Reading of Ordinance 747, 13 <br />an Ordinance Implementing a Franchise Fee on Center Point Energy Natural 14 <br />Gas Operations within the City of Mounds View for the Year 2005. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing. 19 <br /> 20 <br />MOTION/SECOND. To waive the reading and approve the first reading of 21 <br />Ordinance 747, an Ordinance Implementing a Franchise Fee on Center Point Energy Natural Gas 22 <br />Operations within the City of Mounds View for the Year 2005. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Stigney stated this is a 4 percent franchise fee on Center Point Energy for gas 25 <br />fees, and that there are just a few places in the city that actually have Center Point Energy, 26 <br />formerly Minnegasco, and it’s the same as Xcel Energy as far as the sunset clause. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br />C. 7:25 p.m. Public Hearing, Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 750, 31 <br />Vacating Easements Relating to the Hidden Hollow Final Plat (roll call vote) 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing. 36 <br /> 37 <br />MOTION/SECOND.
