Mounds View City Council August 23, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 17 <br /> <br />City Attorney Riggs passed out a memo that summarized the Attorney General’s opinion and 1 <br />some correspondence to the Council members. He stated that nothing has changed the City’s 2 <br />perspective as to how these numbers have been evaluated by independent auditors, as well as two 3 <br />different Finance Directors of the City. 4 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether anything had changed other than they haven’t accepted 5 <br />the offer. He asked what the City Attorney’s recommendation would be. 6 <br /> 7 <br />City Attorney Riggs stated that none of the numbers had changed, and there was nothing 8 <br />different brought before the Council. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if he was suggesting that the Council should direct the 11 <br />Administrator to go forward with the original offer to resolve the matter. 12 <br /> 13 <br />City Attorney Riggs stated that that was a valid response at this time. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Stigney/Gunn. To move forward with the offer that was extended in 16 <br />November of 2002. 17 <br /> 18 <br /> Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Linke returned to the meeting. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Mayor Linke stated that there had been a request to postpone the Executive Session until 23 <br />September 7th. 24 <br /> 25 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Linke/Marty. To postpone the Executive Session that had been scheduled 26 <br />to follow the EDA meeting until after the work session on September 7th. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br />13. Next Council Work Session: Monday, September 7, 2004 31 <br /> Next Council Meeting: Monday, September 13, 2004 32 <br /> 33 <br />14.
