On August 23, 2004, the City Council approved Resolution 6333 Authorizing the <br />Publication of a Request For Proposal (RFP) for Work Associated with the <br />Preparation of a Site Plan, Construction Plans, and Specifications for the <br />Groveland Park Building Replacement Project. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />The City received three responses for the request for proposal. A summary is as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> <br />TKDA $19,600.00 <br /> <br />ATS&R $30,000.00 <br /> <br />BRAA Submitted a letter stating that they could not provide the service for <br />less than what TKDA previously proposed ($19,600) <br /> <br />Complete proposals are available at City Hall for review. <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Commissioners recommended that the contract be <br />awarded to TKDA for replacing the Groveland building. The 2004 budget has <br />$20,000 to perform the site plan, constructions plans, and specifications. The <br />construction is recommended by the Commissioners to occur in 2005 at an <br />estimated cost of $180,000. The Parks and Recreation Commissioners also <br />recommended that funds for both the planning and construction phases be <br />derived for the Park Dedication Fund. <br /> <br />The 2004 budget (Account No. 285-4470-3030) has $20,000 under Park <br />Dedication Fund for professional services associated with designing the <br />Groveland Park Building. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />It is recommended the City Council approve a resolution to approve and <br />authorize the execution of a letter agreement with TKDA for the Groveland Park <br />Building Replacement Project. <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Greg Lee, Director of Public Works <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
