To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6378, appointing 12 <br />MMKR to Provide Audit Services for the Year Ended December 31, 2004. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether this service was a big asset to the Finance Department’s 15 <br />staff and how long this service would be needed. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Finance Director Hansen stated this is a one-year renewal, and he is very happy with their 18 <br />service. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes –5 Nays – 0 Motion carried 21 <br /> 22 <br />E. Resolution 6379 Approving a Step Increase for John Hughes. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Mayor Linke read the Resolution aloud. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Council Member Marty asked how this was missed since Mr. Hughes’ last step was on April 14 27 <br />of 2003. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that it fell through the cracks because there is not a Human 30 <br />Resources person, and that this would be retroactive. 31 <br /> 32 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Stigney. To adopt Resolution 6379, Approving a Step Increase for 33 <br />John Hughes. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 36 <br /> 37 <br />F. Review Recommendations to Charter Commission Regarding Chapter 5. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Director Ericson stated that this language is a result of a discussion of the September 27th 40 <br />meeting, and this would offer something back to the Charter Commission for them to consider 41 <br />and to bring back to the City Council. He stated that a letter had been received from Duane 42 <br />McCarty regarding whether this was a revision or an amendment, and he stated that the City 43 <br />Attorney could address that. 44 <br /> 45
