CALL TO ORDER: <br /> Chairperson Torri Johnson called the meeting to order at 7:40 a.m. <br /> 2. INTRODUCTION &SWEARING IN OF NEW COMMISSION MEMBERS: <br /> JERRY JAKER &TOM FIELD <br /> Mr. Jaker introduced himself, as did the other members of the Mounds View EDC. <br /> 3. ROLL CALL: <br /> Members Present: Tom Field, Jason Helgemoe, Jerry Jaker, Torri Johnson <br /> Members Absent: Greg Belting, Jackie Entsminger, Stan McDonald <br /> Staff Present: Economic Development Coordinator Aaron Backman <br /> Others Present: None <br /> 4. APPROVAL OF EDC MINUTES: <br /> Motion/Second: The December 10, 2004 minutes were not completed by this meeting. No <br /> Commission action was taken. <br /> 5. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> A. Backman indicated that the new CVS Pharmacyked"a "soft" opening on Sunday, February 20, <br /> 2005. He invited the EDC members and the public to attend the CVS Pharmacy ribbon cutting <br /> ceremony on February 26, 2005 at 7:30 a.m. <br /> 6. REPORT OF COMMISSIONERS, STAFF AND EDA LIAISON <br /> A. Commissioner Reports: Backman distributed information regarding the Minneapolis Metro North <br /> Convention and Visitors Bureau, including the new Visitor's Guide. The 11 cities jointly market <br /> their areas. Johnson indicated that she likes the new guide (color coding, etc.). Backman also <br /> discussed the Twin Cities North State of the Cities Luncheon at the Mermaid. Presentations <br /> were done by representatives of each of the member cities (seven).
