We also have several businesses that are required to be licensed <br /> by the state but not by the city. Due to this, there are many businesses that operate in the <br /> city that we are not aware of and, or, have no contact information for. At the same time, the <br /> Police and Fire Departments inspect or respond as needed or necessary to all businesses <br /> regardless of their license status. <br /> In preparation of the Life and Safety Inspection Program, staff also is proposing a Business <br /> ���N <br /> Registration License (BRL\ toassist uovviththe imp|ennantatimnofthe prognannand tomeme <br /> ��� <br /> all business owner's efficiently. The BRL will also grant the city some enforcement authority <br /> asa |icenmeho/doc <br /> The business registration application will register only businesses that are not currently <br /> licensed with the city and will inc/udm, but not be restricted to emergency contacts, building <br /> ownership and rental information. The business information will be listed in the citydatm <br /> City The proposed fee io $35.O0. <br /> The Life and Safety Inspection fee includes, but is not restricted to fire and safety <br /> inspections, environmOenta| issues, and hazardous nnotorim|s. The structure inspection fees <br /> are as follows: <br /> Structures —less than 10,000 sq.ft. - $ 50.00 <br /> Structures— 10,000—50,000 sq.ft. - Q100.00 <br /> Structures— more than 50.000 mq.ft. -$150.00 <br /> Recommendation <br /> Staff is requesting Council approval to begin a Business Registration Program and a Life and <br /> Safety Inspection Program with the aforementioned fees. <br /> fl'7 �f��2 <br /> 4111 <br /> i- <br />
