The three items are 1) the potential Business Registration Program form, 2) <br /> the proposed ordinance language for the Business Registration Program and 3) the City tagline flyer that was <br /> inserted into the recent utility bill. I would also like the EDC to know that we have posted the below verbiage on <br /> the City's Website about the Business Registration Program: <br /> "Under the potential Business Registration Program, the City would require all Mounds View businesses to <br /> annually register with the City. This registration would include providing the City with current emergency contact <br /> information and items that will be used, stored, manufactured and/or conducted within the business space. The <br /> purpose of the potential program is for the City to obtain and maintain information identifying the responsible party <br /> in the case of fire, building or nuisance code violations, track required maintenance of building features such as <br /> backflow preventers and grease traps and maintain the pre-fire planning database that is already in place. The <br /> registration program would identify new businesses moving into Mounds View and the follow-up would ensure the <br /> • safe operation and code compliance of any new business moving into the City. <br /> The City Council has postponed approving the program because they want to receive input from Mounds View <br /> businesses about the potential program. If you're a Mounds View business owner and would like to provide input, <br /> please submit your input by August 20, 2009, to Community Development Director Ken Roberts 763-717-4021, <br /> or 2401 Hwy 10, Mounds View, MN 55112." <br /> Please contact me if you have questions about Friday's EDC meeting.
