Chapter 408 of the Mounds <br /> View City Code states "The Commission shall be composed of seven equal voting members, <br /> including three business representatives and four residents". The City Code also states that the <br /> EDC must recommend whom the EDA/Council should appoint to the EDC. Attached is Chapter 408 <br /> for the EDC's reference. <br /> Discussion <br /> The five people listed below(in alphabetical order) submitted EDC applications to City staff by the <br /> October 30, 2009 application deadline. Attached are the five completed applications for the EDC's <br /> review. <br /> • Name of Applicant Type of Application <br /> • Jason Helgemoe business <br /> • Andrew Johnson resident <br /> • Torri Johnson business/resident <br /> • Gary Meehlhause resident <br /> • Holly Smith resident <br /> Ms. Smith also applied to serve on the Planning Commission. On November 18,2009,the Planning <br /> Commission will provide a recommendation to the City Council on which applicants they (the <br /> Planning Commission) believes would best fill the vacant Planning Commission seats. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends that the EDC provide a recommendation to the EDA/Council with a listing of the <br /> applicants the EDC believes would best fill the three vacant EDC seats. Business representatives <br /> must fill two of the open EDC seats and a resident must fill the remaining seat.
