Recap of April 14th TCAAP Meeting <br />Ms. Steinmetz explained that this meeting was a multi -jurisdictional meeting where the City <br />of Arden Hills provides a history and update on the project. The Federal government will be <br />donating some of the land to Ramsey County for a regional park. <br />Commissioner Belting left the meeting at this time (8:43am). <br />C. Update on available business sites in Mounds View <br />Ms. Steinmetz said that the City monitors and posts Mounds View's available business sites <br />on the City's Website and that she plans to update the EDC monthly on the information. <br />During this meeting, she summarized the buildings currently for sale in Mounds View. <br />D. Twin Cities North Chamber Economic Development Summit is April 21st <br />E. Twin Cities North Chamber relocating to New Brighton by May 1st <br />F. Overview of Coventry Senior Living concept <br />Ms. Steinmetz provided an overview of a potential new senior housing project on County <br />Road 10 between Woodale Drive and County Road H in Mounds View. The Coventry <br />project is not to be confused with the Select Senior Living project. Select Senior Living is a <br />similar project that may be constructed at County Road 10 and Groveland Road. There was <br />a neighborhood meeting about the Coventry project and Community Development Director <br />Ken Roberts reported that the neighbors voiced concern over the access to the building and <br />the developer has since changed the site plan to eliminate access to the building from <br />neighborhood streets. <br />G. Mounds View Clean Up Day is Saturday, May 22nd <br />Other — Street Project Area BIC Update <br />Community Development Director Ken Roberts added this item to the agenda. He said that <br />the bids for this project came in about $400,000 lower than the engineer's estimate, which is <br />a good savings for the City. Over 100 people attended a recent neighborhood meeting at <br />City Hall to receive an update about the project. The project will begin in mid-May, <br />Other — Edgewood Middle School Orchestra <br />Commissioner Larson announced that Edgewood's orchestra placed 8th out of 50 orchestras <br />to play at Orchestra Hall. <br />9. UPCOMING EDC MEETING <br />The next regular EDC meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 21, 2010 at 7:30am. <br />10.
