CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Chair Torri Johnson called the meeting to order at 7:31am. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Members Present: Chair Torri Johnson and Commissioners Greg Belting, Jason <br />Helgemoe, Dan Larson, Gary Meehlhause and Jim Paron <br /> <br />Members Absent: Vice Chair Jennifer Wagner-Harkonen <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Jim Ericson and Economic Development <br />Specialist Heidi Steinmetz <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF APRIL 20, 2012 AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Commissioner Belting moved and Commissioner Larson seconded the <br />approval of the April 20, 2012, EDC agenda. <br /> <br />Motion Carried: 6 Ayes, 0 Nays <br /> <br />4. APPROVAL OF MARCH 9, 2012 EDC MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Commissioner Helgemoe moved and Commissioner Meehlhause <br />seconded the approval of the March 9, 2012, EDC minutes. <br /> <br />Motion Carried: 6 Ayes, 0 Nays <br /> <br />5. EDC BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Discuss Creating a Plan to Use the EDA Unobligated TIF <br />Economic Development Specialist Heidi Steinmetz reminded the EDC that they approved <br />this item back in February as their top 2012 priority. <br /> <br />Commissioner Meehlhause stated that his number one priority for using the EDA’s <br />unobligated TIF would be to redevelop the Premium Stop Redevelopment Area, followed by <br />the PAK building/Simon’s property. He added that the last priority should be using the funds <br />towards the City’s residential Street Project. <br /> <br />Commissioner Larson stated that his top priority would be to use the funds on demolishing <br />vacant and blighted housing in Mounds View.
