At the EDC’s meeting February 17, <br />2017 the Commission reviewed the priorities from the previous year. For the most part, the adopted <br />priorities for 2017 remained unchanged. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />As amended and revised at the February 2017 meeting, the following represents the EDC’s <br />priorities for 2017: <br /> <br />1. Development/redevelopment along the Mounds View Boulevard corridor <br />a) Crossroad Pointe redevelopment site <br />b) Improve the aesthetics of properties located on Mounds View Boulevard <br />c) Silver View Plaza <br />d) Simon’s & City-Owned Lot <br />e) Johnson Lot & Related Empty Lot <br />f) Rydell Auto & Adjacent Lot <br />g) Mounds View Boulevard & Woodale Drive lots <br /> <br />2. Monitor development plans for the Rice Creek Commons site in Arden Hills <br />3. New Website <br />4. Monitor Mounds View commercial properties in transition <br />5. Skyline Motel Redevelopment <br />6. Monitor and assist with Citywide housing issues and projects <br />7. Meet bi-annually with the Mounds View EDA <br />8. Continue business retention program <br />9. Support the implementation of the citywide Street & Utility Improvement Program <br />10. Review Business section of Comprehensive Plan for 2018 update <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the EDC review its adopted 2017 priorities as a means to consider possible <br />changes for 2018.
