Mounds View EDA May 10, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />The Motioner and Seconder agreed. <br /> <br />Mr. Ryden indicated that it is their position that the City is required to make the August payment <br />as it is a payment based on the May tax payment and should not be tied to the date of closing. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 3 Nays – 2 (Marty/Stigney) Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Resolution 04-EDA-186 Requesting that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View Call for a Public Hearing for June 21, 2004 on the Proposed <br />Adoption of a Modification to the Development Program for the Mounds <br />View Economic Development Project. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Approve Resolution 04-EDA-186 Requesting that the <br />City Council of the City of Mounds View Call for a Public Hearing for June 21, 2004 on the <br />Proposed Adoption of a Modification to the Development Program for the Mounds View <br />Economic Development Project. <br /> <br />Vice President Stigney indicated he feels that the City should spend some time identifying <br />parcels for redevelopment rather than amending the plan to include as many parcels as is <br />possible. <br /> <br />Coordinator Backman indicated that it is in the City’s best interest to have as many parcels <br />identified as is possible so that, if the opportunity for redevelopment presents itself, the City is <br />allowed to utilize TIF Funds for the project. <br /> <br />Vice President Stigney indicated that he is concerned about the lack of planning as well as the <br />costs associated with this. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1(Stigney) Motion carried. <br /> <br />7. REPORTS <br /> <br /> None. <br /> <br />8. NEXT EDA MEETING: May 24, 2004 <br /> <br />9.
