Mounds View EDA June 13, 2005
Regular Meeting Page 3

8. REPORTS

City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that an Executive Session was convened on May 23, 2005
at 6:54 p.m. He stated that all Commissioners were present except for Commissioner Thomas.
He noted that Director Ericson and City Attorney Riggs were also in attendance. He reviewed
stating that the Commission discussed the sale of real property commonly known as The Bridges.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.

Barbara Haake referenced the Commission discussions for the sale of The Bridges property
stating that she has put together three potential options for The Bridges that she would like to
review with the Commission. She stated that it is her understanding that the sale of the property
known as The Bridges is for $8.6 million, which when calculated at 72-acres, is $120,000 per
acre and noted that the property tax calculation is for raw land. She provided the Commission
with copies of the options and gave a brief overview of each. She asked that the Commission
give some consideration to option 3 as a part of their discussion and review.

Vice President Stigney stated that they do not have these options on the table and this is not what
is happening right now. He added that if they have an interested buyer let the City know.

Commissioner Flaherty asked staff to review and verify Ms. Haake’s numbers.

Andre Koen, 7951 Greenwood Drive, stated that he is new to the City of Mounds View. He
stated that he moved to the area due to the mix, closeness to the City and the amount of green
space in the area. He stated that he is concerned that the area would become land locked with the
sale of this property to Medtronic and asked the Commission to consider this throughout the
process.

9.
