EDA BUSINESS 1 <br /> 2 <br />A. 16-EDA-288, Electing and Appointing Officers to the Economic Development 3 <br />Authority (EDA) 4 <br /> 5 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the EDA adopt a Resolution electing and 6 <br />appointing officers for 2016. She reviewed the positions held by the members in 2015. 7 <br /> 8 <br />President Flaherty explained he could continue to serve as the President of the EDA. He asked 9 <br />who would like to serve as the Vice President. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Commissioner Gunn was willing to serve as the Vice President again in 2016. 12 <br /> 13 <br /> Commissioner Mueller indicated she would serve as the treasurer. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Commissioner Meehlhause was interested in serving as the secretary. 16 <br /> 17 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 16-EDA-18 <br />288, Electing and Appointing Officers to the Economic Development Authority (EDA). 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br />B. 16-EDA-289, Appointing Members to the Economic Development 23 <br />Commission (EDC) 24 <br /> 25 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the EDA appoint members to the Economic 26 <br />Development Commission (EDC). She reported the seats of Jim Freichels, Jason Helgemoe, 27 <br />Gary Stevenson were up as of December 31, 2015. She was pleased to report that each of these 28 <br />members had submitted an application for reappointment. Staff recommended the EDA appoint 29 <br />these members to the EDC for a three year term. 30 <br /> 31 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 16-32 <br />EDA-289, Appointing Members to the Economic Development Commission (EDC). 33 <br /> 34 <br />President Flaherty questioned what the criteria was for individuals to serve on the EDC. 35 <br />Assistant City Administrator reviewed the requirements noting the Commission was made up of 36 <br />four residents and three members of the business community. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Commissioner Meehlhause thanked Jim Freichels, Jason Helgemoe and Gary Stevenson for their 39 <br />continued service to the City of Mounds View on the EDC. 40 <br /> 41 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 42
