<br /> <br />Item Number: 7A <br />Meeting Date: June 9, 2008 <br />Type of Business: EDA <br />Administrator Review: _____ <br /> <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Economic Development Authority <br />From: Heidi Steinmetz, Economic Development Specialist <br />Item Title/Subject: Meet Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce New <br />President Tim Roche <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On March 28, 2008, staff attended the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce’s <br />Board of Directors’ meeting when the new Chamber President, Tim Roche, was <br />introduced to the Chamber Board. Staff’s goal was to form a relationship with Mr. <br />Roche immediately since Mr. Roche serves as the spokesperson for Mound’s View’s <br />business community. It is important to maintain and strengthen the City of Mounds <br />View’s relationship with its business community. <br /> <br />Mr. Roche is an accomplished sales professional with a background in Association <br />Management, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Statistical <br />Modeling and Return On Investment (ROI) Analysis. Before joining the Chamber, Mr. <br />Roche was the Vice President of Membership Development with the Associated <br />Builders and Contractors. <br /> <br />Mr. Roche began work with the Chamber on April 14, 2008. Since that date, the <br />Chamber has also hired Holly Stange as the Director of Sales and Melissa Deming, the <br />Director of Events & Marketing. <br /> <br />Update <br /> <br />Tim recently approached the Mounds View EDC on May 16th inquiring if the EDC would <br />like him to attend monthly EDC meetings as the “Chamber Liaison”. The EDC <br />welcomed the opportunity. Tim will also be attending New Brighton EDC meetings. <br /> <br />Tim also recently met with Clerk/Administrator Jim Ericson to discuss the City and <br />Chamber’s continued partnership. <br /> <br />
