Mounds View EDA November 13, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />Vice President Stigney said that in one of the whereas clauses, item iii, intent to acquire 88 <br />neighboring property identified as Roberts Sports Bar, his question would be that it seems to be 89 <br />contingent upon proceeding with Roberts but the RFQ was for perhaps Roberts but the shorter 90 <br />term was Concept B which did not include Roberts. 91 <br /> 92 <br />Mr. Tobin explained that the expectation is that they responded to the RFQ and would like to put 93 <br />together an RFQ for the Premium Stop site but would like to include the other site, if possible. 94 <br /> 95 <br />Interim Executive Director Ericson said that he feels that the interaction between the City and 96 <br />Master Development is that they are proceeding with or without the Roberts site so he feels 97 <br />comfortable with the language as written. 98 <br /> 99 <br />Vice President Stigney asked that the Resolution be amended to be consistent with the title of the 100 <br /> 101 <br />Commissioner Mueller indicated that she would like to see the multiple housing owned and not 102 <br />rental. 103 <br /> 104 <br />Interim Executive Director Ericson asked how the Authority would feel if the apartments were 105 <br />for senior rentals. 106 <br /> 107 <br />Mr. Tobin indicated that financing is easier to obtain for rental building in today’s real estate 108 <br />market. 109 <br /> 110 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution EDA-111 <br />237 Approving a Pre-Development Agreement With Master Development Relating to the 112 <br />Premium Stop Property. 113 <br /> 114 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 115 <br /> 116 <br />Vice President Stigney indicated that there is concern about rental properties and asked the 117 <br />developer to work with the City on the redevelopment plans. 118 <br /> 119 <br />8.
