Mounds View EDA January 23, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated there is a budget for TIF dollars that includes other needs 214 <br />beyond street reconstruction. He suggested staff bring back that budget, demonstrate the needs 215 <br />for TIF, and how much can be allocated towards street reconstruction. 216 <br /> 217 <br />President Marty stated the City is also looking at how to improve the safety and redevelop 218 <br />County Highway 10 and the trailway systems along Silver Lake Road from New Brighton to 219 <br />County Highway 10. He advised that the EDA has talked about a percentage or how to allocate 220 <br />those dollars, noting there are more needs than available TIF. 221 <br /> 222 <br />President Marty stated to Mr. Glidden that the EDA needs to move on instead of having this back 223 <br />and fourth discussion. 224 <br /> 225 <br />Mr. Glidden asked if that is the definitive answer to the question he asked. He again asked if TIF 226 <br />can legally be used for street repair or trail development and requested a legally definitive 227 <br />answer. 228 <br /> 229 <br />President Marty answered in the affirmative. 230 <br /> 231 <br />Mr. Glidden stated that is not the answer that he received before. 232 <br /> 233 <br />Commissioner Thomas stated it definitely is the answer Mr. Glidden received before. 234 <br /> 235 <br />5.
