Minutes of the Economic Development Commission <br /> City of Mounds View <br /> 1111 Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> December 18, 1997 <br /> City of Mounds View, Council Chambers <br /> 2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br /> 1. Call to Order: <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:37 a.m. by Vice Chairperson, Cindy Carlson. <br /> 2. Roll Call: <br /> Members present were as follows: Cindy Carlson, Rosemary Goff, Dan Nelson, Ron Schmidt, Tom Field <br /> and Steve Larson. Member Brian Sjoberg, EDA Liaison Duane McCarty and alternate Liaison Gary Quick <br /> were absent. Dir.of Economic Development Cathy Bennett was present. <br /> 3. Approval Of Minutes: <br /> No Minutes were distributed for Approval. <br /> 410 4. Special Business <br /> Director of Economic Development Cathy Bennett mentioned that she has resigned from the <br /> City of Mounds View to take a job in Roseville. Her last day of employment in Mounds View <br /> would be January 9, 1998. City Administer Chuck Whiting would act as staff to the <br /> Commission in Ms. Bennett's absence and until a replacement is hired. <br /> 5. EDC BUSINESS <br /> A. Election of 1998 Chairperson and Vice Chairperson <br /> The Mounds View Municipal Code Chapter 408.07, Subdivision 1 entitled Economic Development <br /> Commission, Organization states that"at the first regular meeting of the year, the Commission shall <br /> appoint a chairperson from among its voting members and that this appointment shall be subject to <br /> Authority approval and shall consist of a one year term". <br /> Motion/Second: Schmidt/Larson moved to approve the appointment of Cindy Carlson as Chairperson <br /> and Rosemary Goff as Vice Chairperson for 1998 <br /> Motion Carried 5 ayes 0 nays <br /> Commissioner Nelson not present at this time. <br /> • <br />
