RESOLUTION NO. 5933 <br />APPOINTING MICHAEL SCHNUR TO A <br />VACANCY IN THE WATER DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff was given direction to fill a vacancy in the Water Division of the <br />Public Works Department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 16 of the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View <br />and the Public Works Department states that “permanent job vacancies within the <br />department shall be filled based on the concept of promotion from within provided that <br />applicants: have the necessary qualifications to meet the standards of the job vacancy <br />and have the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job vacancy”; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said vacancy was posted internally and interest in the position was <br />expressed by Michael Schnur, who currently works in Sewer Division of Public Works; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Director and Public Works Foreman have met with <br />Mr. Schnur to discuss his interest and qualifications, as well as expectations for the <br />position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Director and Public Works Foreman recommend <br />that Mr. Schnur be appointed to fill the vacancy in the Water Division of the Public <br />Works Department. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby appoint Michael Schnur to the vacancy in the Water Division of the Public <br />Works Department effective January 28, 2003; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there will be no <br />compensation adjustments, as Mr. Schnur currently meets Level C requirements for a <br />Public Works Maintenance Worker as per the Labor Agreement; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council directs <br />Staff to fill the vacancy in the Sewer Division left vacant by Mr. Schnur’s appointment to <br />the Water Division of the Public Works Department. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
