He then commented that Alpha was 183 <br />presented as the lowest bidder but it turned out that was not the case and he would like 184 <br />information on the other bidders on the list. He further asked whether the request was consistent 185 <br />with the City’s purchasing policy for quotes. 186 <br /> 187 <br />City Administrator Miller indicated that three written quotes were received. 188 <br /> 189 <br />Mr. Gamble agreed to provide further information on the quotes. 190 <br /> 191 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Thomas/Stigney. Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 5904, a Resolution Amending 199 <br />Resolution 5419 Relating to Interim Use Permits for Billboards at the 200 <br />Bridges Golf Course 201 <br /> 202 <br />Mayor Sonterre opened the public hearing at 7:34 p.m. 203 <br /> 204 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that the City entered into a lease agreement 205 <br />for six billboards at the golf course that have not yet been constructed. He then indicated that, as 206 <br />a result of ongoing appeals and litigation, Clear Channel has requested an extension of the lease 207 <br />agreements in an attempt to recover the costs of litigation. 208 <br /> 209 <br />Director Ericson explained that two courses of action need to be taken, the first is an amendment 210 <br />to the City’s Code to clarify the lease period of the billboards, and the second would be changing 211 <br />the requirement for the number of feet between signs from 1,000 to 750 to ensure that the signs 212 <br />can be located in areas that do not interfere with the play of golf at the course. 213 <br /> 214 <br />Mayor Sonterre closed the public hearing at 7:37 p.m. 215 <br /> 216 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Quick.
