Item 05E <br />Meeting Date: 1/27/03 <br />Type of Business: Special <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5938 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO TIM BRENNAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Deputy Chief Tim Brennan was appointed the Interim Chief <br />of Police effective August 21, 2001, to serve until the City Council filled the <br />police chief vacancy; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Deputy Chief Brennan served as Mounds View’s Interim <br />Chief of Police for 18 months; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during that period, Deputy Chief Brennan served the City to <br />the best of his judgment and ability and was able to accomplish many <br />tasks and projects at the direction of the City Council and on his own <br />initiative, including the revision of ordinances and departmental polices; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, during that period of time, Deputy Chief Brennan was <br />instrumental in the application and receipt of grants and reimbursements <br />for police equipment and training all to the benefit of the department and <br />the community. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council, <br />on behalf of the residents of Mounds View, expresses its appreciation to <br />Deputy Chief Tim Brennan for his dedicated service to the City. <br /> <br />Adopted this 27th day of January, 2003. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Councilmember Quick Councilmember Stigney <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Councilmember Gunn Councilmember Marty <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />James Ericson, <br />Interim City Clerk / Administrator
