Monday, January 27, 2003 City Council Agenda. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Linke indicated he would introduce the new Police Chief before beginning Item 5. 20 <br /> 21 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the January 27, 2003, City Council Agenda as 22 <br />Amended. 23 <br /> 24 <br /> Ayes - 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 25 <br /> 26 <br />4. PUBLIC INPUT 27 <br /> 28 <br />None. 29 <br /> 30 <br />5. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 31 <br /> 32 <br />Mayor Linke introduced Police Chief Mike Sommer. 33 <br /> 34 <br /> A. Presentation by Senator Betzold and Representative Connie Bernardy 35 <br /> 36 <br />Senator Betzold addressed Council and thanked residents of the City for the opportunity to 37 <br />represent them. He then provided information concerning redistricting and told Council he 38 <br />would like to give them information on what he thinks will happen during session and then 39 <br />would be back after session to go over what actually did happen. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Senator Betzold indicated the budget is dominating the session this year and indicated that the 42 <br />Senate has passed its version of the budget bill and the House is working on its version this 43 <br />evening. 44 <br /> 45
