Mounds View City Council March 10, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated he was aware of only two Sharon Linke and Jerry Linke. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Council Member Quick commented that the company was terminated for violations of a contract 4 <br />with the City of Mounds View. 5 <br /> 6 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated that the contract was terminated based on Council directive. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Quick commented that there is nothing to act on but Innovative Images has not 9 <br />agreed on the City’s offer to settle. 10 <br /> 11 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated there were offers that transpired back and forth but the matter has 12 <br />died. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Quick asked if there had been a letter saying that claims would stop or no 15 <br />further action would be taken. 16 <br /> 17 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated he has received nothing. Offers went back and forth and that is 18 <br />where it stopped. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Quick indicated he supported Council Member Stigney’s request to split the 21 <br />motion. 22 <br /> 23 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Quick. To Divide the Motion. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Linke indicated that motion was out of order. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Quick challenged the decision of the chair. 28 <br /> 29 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated it was in order to request that the motion be split. 30 <br /> 31 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 32 <br /> 33 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5960A, a 34 <br />Resolution Appointing Parks and Recreation Commission Members. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Marty indicated he has nothing against Ms. Linke but feels it may look bad 37 <br />publicly and it may be a good decision for Council to consider another candidate. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> Ayes – 1 Nays – 4 Motion failed. 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5960B, a 42 <br />Resolution Appointing Parks and Recreation Commission Members. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 45
