To Remove 110955 for Separate Discussion and Vote. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council Member Gunn asked what Check Number110899 for the Association for Nonsmokers. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated Finance Director Hansen was not able to attend the 15 <br />meeting due to a family emergency. He then said he would research the matter and provide 16 <br />information to Council. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Gunn asked for information on the forfeitures. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated that the forfeitures refer to the DUI charges handled 21 <br />by the prosecuting attorney. 22 <br /> 23 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Approve Just and Correct Claims as Amended. 24 <br /> 25 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Stigney indicated he is concerned that the PGA of America membership 28 <br />bestows upon the individual benefits and he does not feel the City should pay for the membership 29 <br />if the employee receives benefits from it. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated that the membership had been budgeted for. She then 32 <br />indicated that in order for the golf course to advertise a PGA pro this membership is necessary. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Mayor Linke indicated that this membership is part of his employment and to be a PGA pro you 35 <br />have to belong to this organization. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated it is typical that when you belong to a professional 38 <br />association the employer pays for it but Council will need to decide whether to pay for 39 <br />memberships during the budgeting process. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Stigney indicated that as a professional engineer you have to pay your own 42 <br />membership especially when you get special insurance benefits from it. 43 <br /> 44
