He then said they saved a 5 little over $20,000. He further commented that the City would make every effort to inform 6 residents of how the increase will affect them. 7 8 MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6091, 9 Authorizing Certification of a Proposed General Fund Budget and Property Tax Levy for Fiscal 10 Year 2004. 11 12 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 13 14 F. Resolution No. 6092, Establishing Public Hearing Dates for the Proposed 15 General Fund Budget and Property Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2004. 16 17 Finance Director Hansen indicated the City Council needs to establish dates for the truth-in-18 taxation public hearings and he recommends December 1, 2003 with the continuation hearing 19 being set for December 8, 2003 to coincide with the regular Council meeting. 20 21 MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marty. Resolution No. 6072, Authorizing the Purchase of a Sprinkler Monitor for 28 Mounds View City Hall. 29 30 Community Development Director Ericson indicated this item was before Council at the last 31 meeting and Staff was asked to research whether the automatic dialer system could be utilized to 32 contact Ramsey County Dispatch of a water event at City Hall. He then indicated Staff 33 researched the matter and Ramsey County Dispatch requires a call from a person so that 34 necessitates the approval of a monitoring company. 35 36 Director Ericson indicated that there is a shortage of telephone lines so Staff will be working 37 with the monitoring company to determine whether an underutilized line could be used for the 38 monitoring system. 39 40 MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney.
