<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 736-03 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A COMPREHENSIVE REZONING <br />OF PARCELS ZONED PF AND A TEXT AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 1116 OF THE <br />MOUNDS VIEW ZONING CODE PERTAINING TO PERMITTED USES IN THE I-1 <br />ZONING DISTRICT; MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING CASE NO. SP-118-03 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has become aware of a situation concerning <br />parcels zoned Public Facilities (PF) which is necessitating a comprehensive rezoning action; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, only parcels owned by the City of Mounds View are zoned Public <br />Facilities, as stated in Section 1118.02; Public Facilities Permitted Uses; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, according to Section 1118.02, no parcels not owned by the City of <br />Mounds View may be zoned PF; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been brought to the City’s attention that the City’s current practice <br />of zoning parcels based on land ownership relative to the PF Zoning district is not consistent <br />with conventional zoning practices; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney has suggested that the City rezone City-owned parcels <br />based upon the land use present on the particular parcel. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Planning Commission recommends <br />rezoning city-owned parcels to zoning designations consistent with the land use present on <br />the parcel as follows and as shown on the attached Exhibit A: <br /> <br />Land Uses Current Zoning Proposed Zoning <br />City Parks PF R-1, Single Family Residential <br />City Wells PF I-1, Industrial <br />City Hall PF B-3, Highway Business Commercial <br />Community Center PF B-3, Highway Business Commercial <br />Golf Course PF I-1, Industrial <br />Public Works Garage PF I-1, Industrial <br />Water Tower, Reservoir PF I-1, Industrial <br />Old Water Tower Site PF I-1, Industrial <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning <br />Commission recommends adoption of an ordinance to amend Chapter 1116 of the Mounds <br />View Zoning Code to add “Golf Course” as a permitted use.
